However,according to the Associated Press’s report,there was a news that Balmer misses practice for personal reasons. 

Balmer-Former first-round draft pick Kentwan ,missed Monday’s practice with the San Francisco 49ers(san francisco 49ers jersey) for what coach Mike Singletary called “personal reasons.”

Balmer has been a disappointment to the 49ers since they selected him with the No. 29 overall pick of the 2008 draft. Entering his third NFL season, Balmer has yet to start a game and has 40 career tackles with no sacks.

The coach said he has expectation for Balmer to return to the team quickly. Singletary would not account for an  exact reason for Balmer’s absence. 

Fortunately, the other people in  the team can make some contribution ,such as Ricky Jean Francois.

Ricky Jean Francois entered his second year with the San Francisco 49ers(san francisco 49ers jersey) intent on gradually establishing himself as a mainstay in the team’s defensive line rotation.

“Ricky, across the board, is doing a good job and doing all the right things,” defensive coordinator

Jean Francois has been impressive this week with his speed off the ball and improved technique that gives him leverage against larger offensive linemen.

He  said. “I wanted to be the strongest guy here and lift more than anybody. I had to stay in the weight room every day to get to the point that I’m on the elite level with other players. I wanted to be the one to set the standard.”

So maybe Balmer should learn something from Jean Francois .
