Cleveland, Ohio – The NFL announced today that Browns linebacker Scott Fujita has been suspended for the first three games of the 2012 season for his role in the New Orleans’ Saints bounty system. Fujita played for the Saints from 2006 through 2009 before signing with the Browns. From Mary Kay Cabot’s story on the suspension: Fujita can appeal the ruling within three days.

Cleveland Browns president Mike Holmgren on Monday said he expects Colt McCoy to compete for the starting quarterback spot. Holmgren selected McCoy’s likely successor, Oklahoma State QB Brandon Weeden, in the first round (22nd overall) of last week’s NFL draft.

As we head into the NFL draft, we Cleveland Browns’ fans are putting all of our hopes and dreams into Tom Heckert, the Browns’ GM. I’ve lost faith in Mike Holmgren and most other Browns’ fans I have spoken to have as well. This year’s draft is going to be all or nothing and the Browns certainly have the picks to completely make over this team.
